Meet a Roman Soldier

Thornbury museum will have a stand in the Library as part of the Thornbury Fun Palace event on the first of October.
There will be a variety of objects for all to handle from the museum's collection, spanning Thornbury's ancient to more recent past. As part of the display there will be an element on the Romans, including 1800 year old pottery that can be handled, Roman equipment that can be tried on and even a real Roman soldier to answer questions!
This event is a great opportunity to show your much needed support for our local museum and to discover there is more to your surroundings than you might realise!
