Afternoon Tea for Breast Cancer Now
Memorial Woodlands
11am-3.30pm
A Charity Afternoon Tea event as part of Breast Cancer Awareness month, with all funds raised going to charity Breast Cancer Now.
With teas, coffees, cakes and sweet treats available to enjoy for a small donation, the afternoon is open to everyone and will run from 11am-3pm, allowing guests to drop in at their convenience.
Becks, hospitality manager at Bristol Memorial Woodlands, said: “Breast cancer is the most common cancer in the UK, accounting for 15% of all new cancer cases. In females there are around 59,000 new cases every year.
“I think if you haven’t already had a scare yourself, someone close to you probably has. I’ve had some close friends survive it and one friend is in the middle of treatment.
“Here at Memorial Woodlands we help families who have lost someone to cancer regularly so wanted to do something that would help raise some funds but also bring people together to reflect.”
“We’ll be holding a raffle for a small cost with some lovely small prizes available. We’re really looking forward to welcoming lots of people from across the area to not only enjoy the space, but meet new people and stand together against cancer.”
