History Talk: The Newport Medieval Ship

Olveston Methodist Church

Olveston Parish Historical Society History Talk: Nautical archaeologist Dr Toby Jones is the Curator of the Newport Medieval Ship Project. Toby will tell us: what he knows about the ship (the remains of which were unearthed in the heart of Newport, South Wales, in 2002); what has happened so far (conservation, recording, cleaning, research and publication); and what’s next for the ship project. Can a secure permanent home be secured for it? That would be a great attraction!

All meetings take place in the Methodist Church, The Street, Olveston BS35 4DR at 7.30pm, with refreshments served before the start of the meeting.

Visitor fee is £3, payable on the door - includes refreshments. All welcome!
