St Mary’s Music
St Mary's Church, Thornbury
For the final concert of the 2024/25 season, our performers will be St. Mary's Church choir itself. Conducted by their Director of Music, Alex Hiam, the choir will perform a programme called "From Candlemas to Christmas". It is made up of pieces for each of the church festivals that occur throughout the year, from January to December.
Sunday afternoon concerts take place on the third Sunday in the month at 4.00pm and last approximately an hour. Light refreshments follow.
The performers are drawn from the local area and there are singers, instrumentalists, choirs and instrumental ensembles – something to suit all tastes.
Admission is free, but there is a retiring collection, with all profits going to the Music Fund of St. Mary’s Church.
