Festive Illumination Trail at Old Down Country Park

The festive season is about to sparkle again as Old Down Estate prepares to light up the countryside for its fourth annual Illumination Trail, running from Friday 6th December to Saturday 28th December 2025.
The trail has grown to become one of the most loved Christmas experiences in the Bristol area, full of magic, creativity, and community spirit.
This year, visitors can expect a brand-new route winding through glowing walkways and dazzling light installations, plus a few new surprises along the way. The Adventure Park will also be lit up for even more twilight fun, perfect for families with little explorers.
After your walk, stop by the Christmas Village to toast free marshmallows over the fire pits, get creative in the Crafty Cabin, and browse festive market stalls brimming with seasonal treats and gifts. Warm up with the estate’s famous apple crumble and hot chocolate, a must have to round off the evening.

Set within 66 acres of countryside, Old Down’s Illumination Trail is designed to be relaxed, family-friendly, and dog-friendly. There’s free parking on-site, and quieter evening sessions available for anyone who prefers a calmer experience.
