Flower Ladies – Festival Flower Arranging
St Mary's Church, Thornbury
The Flower Ladies will be arranging flowers for the festival on September 15th. We are looking for items you might expect to find in a 15th-century monastery. All items must be labelled, and we will take good care of them.
As we get closer to the date, donations of foliage would be very welcome (please, no ferns).
Items needed:
Terracotta pots (with plants, herbs, or empty)
Sacking, hessian material
Waterproof sheets
Bell (preferably larger)
Wooden bowls, goblets, candle holders, wooden spoons
Paving slabs (approximately 15 x 15 inches)
Illuminated paper
Old books and bibles
Collection boxes (for donations)

We are also in St Mary’s Church on Friday mornings so items can be brought in then as well. On the day itself (September 15th), we would also greatly appreciate anyone who could help make tea and coffee or help with clearing up afterwards.
