Thornbury Good Afternoon Choir Celebration Carol Concert

United Reformed Church, Thornbury

1.30-2.30pm

Thornbury Good Afternoon Choir with special guests Crossways Infants School.

At our carol celebration there will be a collection for Children’s Hospice South West which is Thornbury Good Afternoon Choir’s chosen charity in 2025. The Mayor of Thornbury will be attending the carol concert.

In the run-up to Christmas, Celebration Carol concerts will take place featuring local community Good Afternoon Choirs with over 2,000 people expected to attend. Bath-based music man Grenville Jones started the Good Afternoon Choirs 16 years ago and they now take place across South West England, South Wales and London. The Choirs meet in the afternoon on a weekly basis and are led by local talented musicians.

At the concerts the children perform their own special Christmas pieces and the Good Afternoon Choir also learn Christmas items for their young guests and parents/families who always attend.

All the Carol Celebrations will be free admission with a retiring collection for charity.
