How to Be Happy - with Josh Hartley

The Armstrong, Thornbury

7:30 pm

During Suicide Prevention Week – Men's Mental Health Matters...

A conversation with author Josiah Hartley, interviewed by Amanda Prowse – to better understand and help men be more open in their mental health struggles and the lessons we learned when Joshy went off to University and unravelled, trying to take his own life before he learned to live a great life with depression.

We will be reading from and exploring themes from his book The Boy Between (A world book night title and Amazon Edit best book of the year).

An evening for anyone who is interested in the men's mental health conversation. A safe space to ask all the questions we might rather not and advice for those who are struggling with their mental health or who care for those who are struggling.

A life lesson for parents/teachers/carers of those who want to be better equipped to deal with this topic – the biggest cause of death for young men in the UK is still suicide – we need change the narrative, Josh can show us how.

Despite this sometimes dark subject - it will be an uplifting evening full of hope and tops tips of how to find peace in times of desperation...
