We are in DESPERATE need of helpers next Sunday to get all the weeding done in the High Street and surrounding areas.
If you can please meet up around the entrance to the Garden Shop around 9.30am - or if you prefer just make a start on the weeds in the kerbs and pavements.
You will need a spade or hand weeding tool, you will probably want gloves. We can supply rubbish bags but you may like to bring your own. There are quite a lot of tough weeds, so secateurs may also be useful.
The other areas on the route that are of particular importance are Rock Street, Bristol Road towards the Leisure Centre, Sibland Road and around Crossways School, plus Severn View Road as far as Oakleaze Road.
Jim and his helpers are going to tackle Oakleaze Road and Sue Hayhurst is looking after the area around the shops but she may like a hand?
Graeme our strimmer is having problems with his hands so we really need someone who can competantly use a strimmer to make our life easier! We have a strimmer, but you can use your own if preferred.
We may also have areas that need mowing just before judging if South Glos / Bromford have not done theirs in time.
All helpers are invited to join us at The Swan on Thursday 21st around 1pm , but it would be helpful if you could let us know if you are likely to be there for Sandra's catering.
