Thornbury’s First Open Air Opera: Don Giovanni
Rockhampton Village Hall
Within the Rockhampton Festival in June, the Armstrong Arts Group presents Thornbury's first open air opera. Opera in a Box are performing Don Giovanni at Rockhampton Village Hall Field, GL13 9DX on June 18th 2023, 2.30pm.
Amid the buzz of the Rockhampton Festival, with facilities of marquee, bar and refreshments, Opera in the Box brings the magic and drama of the Don Giovanni opera to our locality. Take all of your preconceptions about opera and throw them out of the window as opera is taken in fresh and exciting directions. The performance brings together a hugely talented ensemble of musicians, artists and a first rate production team.
Mozart’s Machiavellian feast, Don Giovanni draws a line under society that celebrates an ethic-free central character with no moral compass in what is often considered to be one of the greatest operas ever composed.
For open air comfort bring chairs and somewhere to put a drink! Tea, coffee and cakes available from the Village Hall.
