Christmas Launch

It’s time to jump into the Christmas spirit by joining us for our annual Christmas Launch! We have a stocking full of fun in store, including everyone’s favourite Christmas Parade through the park where you’ll see Santa and his entourage (The Grinch, his elves, Bluey and Bingo to name a few!)
Adding to the festive fun, we have a bubble show, balloon modeller, face painting* and a show from Adam Allsortz! Our story session is back, listen to Christmas stories while interacting with the animals from the book. The Crafty Cabin will be open, filled with lots of Christmas crafts for you to do. Plus, the maze is back with a new Candy Cane trail! *Face painting will be an additional cost of £3 per child (aged 3+).
Throughout the park we’ll have festive music playing with a brass band and carols while our cafe will be serving delicious Yorkshire Pudding Wraps and Loaded Roasties, making the day even more magical.
What makes it better? All of this is included in our general admission price (FREE for members), meaning you also have 66 acres of woodland and adventure park to explore and many friendly animals to meet. It’s always a great day out that will kick off the Christmas celebrations with friends and family.
Our Country Park and Estate site closes at 4pm. Access for our Illumination event starts from 4.30pm (subject to booked entry time) with no visitors onsite between 4-4.30pm. You will need to purchase an Illumination Trail ticket separately.
Take part in our Santa Fun Run, all in support of South Gloucestershire Age UK. Grab those Santa hats, adorn a big red suit for our 1K fun run around Old Down Country Park. Find our full Santa Fun Run information here.
All participants of the Santa Fun Run will receive FREE Country Park entry for the day (24/11/2024 only), instead we ask for a donation of £5 per person to Age UK, payable on the day to the Age UK Team onsite. All participants will need to complete a waiver to take part, with a parent/guardian completing for anyone under the age of 18. Click below for a link to our waiver form.
