Hi Everyone,

As we approach the last couple of months of 2024, Thornbury is as busy as ever...

See the skies above the town lit up with dazzling firework displays - remember, remember to book early for the big one: Thornbury Round Table Fireworks on the Mundy Playing Fields.

Take a moment too, to remember our fallen soldiers at the Remembrance Sunday Parade and Service.

Kick off the festive season with Thornbury's Christmas Lights Switch On - this year on a Saturday afternoon - with a Christmas Market, live entertainment, festive food, and of course the big switch-on at 6pm. There'll also be a stocking full of fun at Old Down Estate's Christmas Launch, and all around Thornbury you can enjoy themed workshops, parties and shopping opportunities. See our Christmas events feature for a full run-down, and don't forget many local businesses offer gift vouchers to make present-buying a breeze!

Give yourself a chance of treats too - enter our new competitions and you could boost your health and wellbeing with a chiropractic consultation and one free treatment at Thornbury Chiropractic Clinic... and tumble down a rabbit hole with tickets to the latest Octopus Drama Group pantomime. You also still have a few days to sneak in an entry to win Sunday Roast at The Royal George.

There are two free firsts for business owners this November: Cool Ventures invite micro-businesses, sole traders, and start-ups to their Networking Event and The South Gloucestershire Business Show is being hosted in Thornbury for the first time - businesses of all sizes are welcome to drop in to discuss, learn and collaborate.

Finally, nurture home-grown talent over tasty food at Journeyman Theatre Productions' Bite Size Plays and at Romy Gill's India.

See our calendar for more fabulous festive fun in Thornbury and let us know what you'd like to share with our community.

Best wishes,

Claire
