Hi Everyone,
Summer has well and truly arrived, and there's no shortage of ways to enjoy the sunshine around Thornbury!
Enter our new competition for the chance to feast on Mediterranean-style food with Mezzé for Two at Mezzé Thornbury... and don't forget to check out all the latest Thornbury offers - including a free night under the stars!
It’s 90 years since the very first Thornbury Carnival, so this year's events will take you on an unforgettable musical journey through time. Take a blanket to the Mundy Playing Fields for Swing in the Park, then enjoy live performances, stalls, food, and fun for all ages at The Main Event - Thornbury's biggest celebration of the year!
Thornbury Art Club is celebrating its own anniversary - bag yourself an original local artwork from £10 at their 60th Annual Summer Exhibition.
Brand new in Thornbury is Tudor House Care Home - drop in to their Grand Opening for live entertainment, tours and refreshments including an ice cream van... and it wouldn't be summer without afternoon tea - so enjoy tasty treats and a sing-a-long at Thornbury and District League of Friends' annual FREE afternoon tea event.
Our events calendar is packed with family-friendly ideas for busy summer holidays... Head to the St Mary Centre for a "Grand" time to welcome Thornbury's very own Gromit, one of the sculptures on this year's Gromit Unleashed Trail, sign young readers up for Thornbury Library's Summer Reading Challenge and creative upcycling and enjoy days out on your doorstep, such as Berkeley Castle's Tudorly Terrible History - a hilarious and educational live show!
Finally, if the summer break leaves you itching for a new career, check out Thornbury-based opportunities on our jobs and volunteering pages.
Explore more local events in the MyThornbury calendar... and if you have events to share with the community, please keep everyone in the loop!
Have a joyful and sunshine-filled summer!
