Hi Everyone!

It's Back to School time, so make a fresh start and try something new in Thornbury...

Enter our competition for the chance to win award-winning performing arts tuition for a budding young superstar, and check out the offers page for a free month of Tae Kwon Do as well as help to give up smoking with Chinese acupuncture.

Don't miss the public meeting called by electors and arranged by the Town Council to discuss restrictions imposed on Thornbury High Street, and separately, book a briefing slot to put your questions on the changes to South Gloucestershire Council officers.

Let any friends who need a new home know that Thornbury Town Trust has an almshouse flat to let.

Pick up new skills on free Community Learning Courses at Thornbury Library and improve your local history knowledge with 'Edible England'-themed events at St Mary's Church and Acton Court.

If you're planning an international getaway this Autumn, find fast and low-cost PCR testing at Thornbury's C The World travel agent.

For a fun trip out closer to home, head to Rockhampton's The Bob Villains - A Tribute to Bob Dylan, to Thornbury Cricket Club for a new Drive-In Cinema, over to Wotton for Lockdown 100: Finding the Light, an exhibition by Rich Edwards, owner of Thornbury's Surroundings, and up to Berkeley Castle where, just for September, you'll have exclusive access to areas normally closed to the public.

Finally, Thornbury parkrun are looking for volunteers to help with their Saturday morning events - find details on this and other opportunities to help out on our volunteer page.

Fill up your September diary with more spectacular events from our calendar and let us know what you'd like to advertise!

Best wishes,

Claire
