It’s the most amorous time of year so why not celebrate with loved ones or friends and enjoy our Valentine’s Afternoon Tea with the stunning backdrop of our magical castle!
With pink macaroons and heart shaped sweet treats, along with finger sandwiches and of course traditional scones, make the most of the experience with a stroll through the picturesque castle grounds afterwards.

Free Nest Box Building Events - Suitable for Ages 11+

10.30am to 12.00pm/ 12.30pm to 2.00pm
Join Thornbury Town Council this Valentine’s Day to show a little love to our feathered friends at this free of charge bird box building event.
Suitable for adults and children aged 11 and over, we will be constructing bird boxes that you can take home and put up in your own garden or green space. We will also share some hints and tips about how you can support wildlife in your garden.
Sessions run 10.30am-12.00pm and 12.30pm-2.00pm
Places at this free event are strictly limited, so booking is essential. All under 18s must be accompanied by an adult. All participating attendees must purchase a ticket.

11am: Special Service - Service of Love
St Mary's Church, Thornbury
St Mary’s is hosting a service with the support of our Mothers’ Union, celebrating the gift of marriage and love.
You are invited to come dressed for a wedding and bring something to share for the finger food buffet if you can.
The service will include prayer stations, renewal of vows and prayers for love of every kind. All are welcome!

Join us for a truly magical Wonderland Afternoon this Valentine’s, packed with fun, laughter, and a little bit of magic for the children, all in aid of St Peter’s Hospice.
What’s included:
- Alison in Wonderland entertainer
- Face painter
- Traditional afternoon tea (mini sandwiches & sweet treats)
- Goodie bag to take home
Fancy dress is optional, with a £20 voucher for the best dressed.
Tickets are just £5 per child. Advance tickets only – available from the bar. Every penny raised will be donated to St Peter’s Hospice, supporting an incredible local cause.
