Start a career as a foster carer.
We need foster carers to join our team and help us care for children and young people who are unable to live with their family. Could you open your heart and home to help a child or young person reach their full potential?
Fostering is a good option if you want work with children. It’s also possible to combine fostering and other work. We welcome people from all walks of life who can provide a home for a child and meet their needs, helping them develop and thrive.

Support for Thornbury Teens and Families
Along with the rise in teenagers on the streets engaging in antisocial and risky behaviour, Thornbury's secondary schools are finding parents knocking on their doors seeking support and advice in parenting teens through this tricky phase of life. Schools don't have the funding or capacity to meet this need.
PHASE seeks to draw together sources of support already in place and create a community of organisatons & services to meet those needs - either though raising awareness of existing sources of help, signposting those in need to support services or identifying gaps and looking for ways to fll them.
The PHASE community is already networking and finding ways to work together - we currently have Thornbury Town Council, Thornbury Parenting Together, Krunch, Street Space, Jigsaw, Off the Record and Young People's Drug & Alcohol Service on board, with other organisations in the pipeline.
With government funding cuts causing schools to restructure and reduce pastoral support, PHASE will be looking at ways to support families with troubled teenagers. PHASE will soon be offering an online service to enable parents to easily access informaton and ask for advice. Future plans include parenting support drop-ins, courses and information evenings.
